Associée à l'univers de l'automobile, virile avec ce petit quelque chose de sportif dans ses lignes, cette création plus connue sous le seul patronyme de Daytona a été mise au point par la manufacture Rolex en 1963, afin de répondre aux exigences... Parmi les montres mythiques, le chronographe Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona occupe une place à part dans le coeur des consommateurs. A l'écran, l'acteur porte une Rolex Daytona 6239 en acier arborant un cadran noir communément appelé "exotique" par les collectionneurs. Plébiscité par les amateurs d'outils efficaces et précis, il a été associé à différentes célébrités - et, parmi elles, l'acteur Paul Newman, venu à la compétition automobile en 1969 après le tournage du film Virages, de James Goldstone.
